Re: Going off Meds Crystal_Blue_024: Thanks wizer :)
Re: Going off Meds wizer_now: You may not be so thankful when you see all the side effects!
Re: Going off Meds Crystal_Blue_024: I've actually felt good so far... Except lately I am dizzy/light-headed a lot... Not sure if that has anything to do with the Lexapro or not though ???
Re: Going off Meds trapped: I would suggest to anyone who wants to go off meds to get on a tapering schedule set up by their MD rather than go cold turkey. Take it from a girl on more meds than she'd like to be. I could start a list but it would take up too much space.
I hate meds. But cant live w/o them right now...and maybe not ever. I dunno.
Just be careful about the cold turkey route....it can be very uncomforatable to downright incredibly dangerous depending on what the rx is.
Do I need a disclaimer.....NOt a doctor, not a nurse. Just have some experience with freakin medicine unfortunatly. Or fortunatly.
Re: Going off Meds Mango25: An update.
I went back on the Remeron on Friday. It didn't make everything all shiny and new, but I have to say, I'm doing MUCH better now. If I've learn nothing else in the last five months, it's that if you can't sleep or eat due to stress and anxiety, everything feels worse and, then, you are in no position to deal handle negative emotions, impulses and more stress. So, for me at least, this is a way to handle what's happened in pieces. Baby steps. And one day I am confident that I will be able to taper off and be as happy as I was before this whole mess began. Says me.
