Re: Hyper Sensitivity? JimB: After 3 1/2 years in a very non-clingy relationship, I still get this from time to time.  I'm legitimately busy with something, and get 3 messages (and probably a text or two) within about 20 mins.  First is "Hi - call me."  Second is "Can you please call me."  Third is (growing hysteria in voice) "Can you call me - PLEASE."  When I do call, it's not really about much of anything, except "Why didn't you call?"

Seems to happen about once a month, at roughly the same time.  Hmmm....

Re: Hyper Sensitivity? superwife: I can relate to your girlfriend.  I get like that every once in a while (hopefully not that much).  I try not to let it show, for this very reason.  Of course I'm going say that it is somewhat normal (heck, b/c I do it :D).  e all have some sort of insecurities.  It's when it consumes your life that you need to start worrying.

I agree with the rest, that you need to talk to her.  Let her express why she is feeling this way.  You know, she may have a past history of being treated like crap by her previous relationships, and just needs a little more reassurance.
Re: Hyper Sensitivity? Zipsfb: So I talked to her and everything is okay.  I told her if I ever did have an issue I wouldn't ignore her... like I told her the previous times.  I tried to stay humorous about it, because I didn't want it to be blown out of proportion.  I also didn't act like it was a big deal, other than saying "I'm sorry I worried you".

Thanks for all of the advice!  You all helped a lot!
Re: Hyper Sensitivity? Zipsfb: So last night I got back from a long day at work, after not getting much sleep the night before, and fell asleep around 10ish...  She called me at 1030 and obviously I didn't pick up.  Then she texted, and then texted again the next morning a few times while I was still sleeping.  The final text was pretty ackward, but I just replied telling her to not worry because I was just tired and fell asleep and am not ignoring her.  She hasn't responded back yet.

So?  What's the deal?  I do NOT get this kind of sensitivity... help?
