My fiancee's child custody case...... octoberbaby: I'm new and I'm looking for opinions and advice. Lets start with D is my fiancee and his child b if four years old. When him and his ex split she left their home and left her child with D. When we got together the mother wanted him maybe two days a week if that, so down the road we ended up taking her to court to get it in writing, she then decided that she wanted full custody (because she wants to be in control). Anyways she ended up getting shared custody so he goes back and forth every other week. Now she is taking us to court to get full custody and bringing up allogations that we poison the mind of the minor. First we would never EVER do something like that. So we hired a PI, and found out that she is an exotic nude dancer and has been taking the child and dropping him off places even when she is home during the day, also that he stays with her new boyfriends parents on her weekends every weekends she has him. So basically we do have a lot of info on her that isn't going to go over well in the courts but i just have this bad feeling that the state were in leans more towards the mothers, and in this case that would be the worst thing for him. His father has always had B, he even took him home from the hospital (not her) she was in state custody at the time (that was a long time ago). I just dont know what my fiancee is going to do if he loses custody. It would be right or in the best interest of the child. HELP!!!!

what state are you in??? As a father of 2 with full custody I am experienced to speak on this matter
Re: My fiancee's child custody case...... octoberbaby: We are in Ks....I'm so very happy to hear you have custody, around here (in my eyes) that doesn't happen very much!!!
Re: My fiancee's child custody case...... chaos40: Well, if it's any consulation to you, the courts are not what they used to be in this regard..... I am curious as to why they granted split custody to the mom. Usually the court will pick the parent that the child has spent the most time with which is referred to as "the primary care giver" any surrounding circumstances that led to this deviation from the norm?
Re: My fiancee's child custody case...... octoberbaby: Sorry didn't explain that part very well, they actually agreed on shared custody cause her lawyer called him into his office and her and her lawyer pressured him into making an agreement for shared custody and on top of that his lawyer adviced him if he didn't take the deal then he was done and walking away...which was complete BS in my opinion. Also I was to come to all the mediations (reason being: I also lived with minor child) but on that last one her lawyer said for me not to come, which was weird cause if i would have been there I could have went over it with him and supported him, he was alone and they all three were against him....
