I mean, how do you even ask a corpse out on a date?  [/quote">

I've been dying to get into your pants. Make sure and try the hot wings, they're delicious.

That is interesting CM, cause my stbx was the complete opposite, she apolgizes for EVERYTHING MANY MANY times over.  I find it extremely annoying and a huge turnoff.

Different strokes, different folks, I guess.  More than likely, your wishy washy attitude contributed to this.  It's unfortunate that your mistakes obviously caused your wife to have certain feelings which you in turn used against her.  Pity.

LOL, glad to see your opinion of me hasnt changed.   ;D

I have a few friends that know my wife pretty well and have said the same thing about her overzealous apologizing.  Her mother is the same way, her grandmother was the same way.  Its either genetic or learned behavior, but that one you cant pin on me.  8)

My personal view is if you are sorry say, say, but mean it.  Then it shoudl be over.  However, actions speak louder than words in the area of apologizing, show that you are sorry for the past/mistake by actions.

Ever read the book Uncoupling by Diane Vaughn?  There is a fascinating view on perception.  She explains that the leaver tends to remember or focus on certain things (usually negative), and ignore others.  In this case, you are most likely choosing to focus on the one time that friends have said something about your wife's overapologizing and ignoring the hundreds of times that they said the opposite.
