Re: Children of Men hp_lovecraft: I skipped it in the theaters. I read a few reviews that gave the impression it was all about GLOBAL WARMING.
But ended up renting it a couple weeks ago when it came out on DVD, and was very impressed. No mention of Global Warming, implied or otherwise.. ;)
The scene at the beginning with the Coffee Shop, and at the end, was all technically pretty amazing, but understated slightly so as not to seem like it was showing off.
Smart Story. Lots of unanswered questions, which I really like. Reminded me alot of the remake of Solaris in that way, as well as themes (ie nature of love/life/etc).
