Felt old last night (until I signed on here :p ) superwife: I didn't want to hijack Spikey's birthday thread. And ironically I thought of him last night while this was going on (not even realizing today was his b-day).
Out with the bf and his dart team last night. One of the dudes walked in with his gf. Cute guy, I've seen him before at their home bar, shooting darts. It was his birthday. When asked how old he was, I almost pissed myself!! 25. I look at my bf and his best friend, and we all cringed. I am 33, they are 32. I was just shocked. My bf said to me "yeah and that guy is 20!!"
So there I am doing the math....how old I was when these dudes were born and all that. But I have 2 points here:
1) I'd be in deep doody if I was out there, looking to hook up. I magine me trying to flirt with a 25 yr old, or worse, a 20 yr old?? I have no way of detecting age on people, unless it is literally posted on a profile. And how much of an ass would I feel like after I got shot down for being too old?
2) So I was obsessing about this for about 10 minutes. I looked at my bf and said 'we're old :-['. He said, yeah, but I'm in my prime, especially sexually ;D. So I looked at him and said "thank you. That seriously makes me feel better, because sexually speaking, I never want to go back to my 20's".
So I'm good. 33 ain't so bad.
