Re: To the person who stole my backpack katbuttkid: So, my old Bike, Gooseberry, was stolen last week. The day or two before I got my nice super nice new one from T.
The thing is that I felt a lot the way you did about your backpack.
Not just becasue a new bike was already in the works, but because I felt like "Ok. You must need it, and I'll live a day or two wihtout a bike."
Also, I had ridden that bike a few times the week before I was taken, and at one point, i went into the library wihtout locking it up, just brought it into the lobby. I asked a friend if he thought my bike would be Ok there, and he said yes. And then I said "someone would have to be an idiot to steal that bike... the chain is all rusted out, I can't get into my granny ring. It's totally muddy, old breaks, seat is torn..." etc.
Poor gooseberry was so well used up.
I loved her, and was going to convert her intoa town bike, but I don't relaly need that. It's just that my new bike is too nice for town.
But I let her go. She was good to me, and we were done with eachother. I hope wherever she is now, she's clean and someone is eyeing her with mischeivious riding on their mind.

So-so. It was kind of weird. They told me during the interview that the position search was at a standstill since management couldn't reach a consensus about what kind of person to hire, but they wanted to meet me anyway.
