Re: Really Alone! achingallover: I hear ya, Hurt.  I'm sort of in the same position of feeling alone - except I don't have any children.  I have been clinging to my best friend like she is an icycle in he!!  It's really quite sick, actually.  She is my main support.  I have other supports, but she knows all the inside scoop on everything.  And my poor cats!  I have been hugging on this sooooo much.  They are like "get the he!! off of me, mom!"  But they'll have to suck it up!  ;)  Yeh, I"m doing the "try to stay busy" thing too.  It actually sort of works, if you can calm your obsessive compulsive mind long enough to read a book or watch a movie! The last 10 minutes of my therapy session since this whole thing began is "so, what are you planning to do today...this week". Staying busy does help.  I'm here too if you need to chat, IM, whatever!

Re: Really Alone! grober: I don't have kids either. But I have learned that ANYTHING is better than sitting in a quite house for too long. Have several things planned in case you feel like something different. An alternate always comes in handy.

Good luck!

Re: Really Alone! Billsfan709: Get a pet!..no matter where you live, house, condo apartment..ther's something..if it's a small place..hamster, rat, snake, fish..fish are very soothing..bigger place..dog!..or a cat, which could fit in either environ..your kid would love it, and some smaller animals come with MINIIMAL cost or responsibility..I bet the kid would love a hamster..investment..about $30. Dedicating time to care for something is time well spent..I know you're a dedicated parent, but this is something you both would share that ex does not.

P.S. can you tell I love animals?
P.S.S. If you're allergic to mammals, afraid of reptiles, and don't like fish..buy a Playstation II  ;D
Re: Really Alone! down2basics: Hey Hurt!

Sorry to hear about your weekend - Believe me - I feel it every other weekend.  We don't do the standard 1st, 3rd and 5th...we do every other and man - does it get old!  My house is so quiet I can hear the clock ticking...I have to get out and do something.  I made a complete nuisance of myself at my parents house - working my butt off there instead of staying at home.  Oh yeah - there was plenty to do at my home, but it was easier for me to clean up my dad's yard than to clean my bathroom!  Ugh!  I am so sorry honey!  Truly!  But as I keep telling you...and it's true!.... It will get better...Promise!

Hugs!
