A New Development For Me startingover: Last night I ended up in the ER with B. No big deal really, he got a piece of wooden train track stuck on his finger. It took a vice and a hack saw from the Engineering Dept to get it off. ::)
The nurses, dr, and I were laughing and joking. (They remembered the boys from our last trips for stitches.) On the way home I realized we were all at peace. I didn't have to deal with the ex. There wasn't someone bitching about being woke up to come over and last minute plan changes.
We came home to peace, not someone being a jerk for doing their parental duties. B wasn't yelled at for being a boy and doing something only a boy would do.
My realization . . . there is no comparison to life with him out of our lives completely. We are all better off with him gone.

The littest one was crying because he thought we were there for him. The dr sent my girl and him into another room so he wouldn't be so scared. He was wonderful with all the kids. A stranger treated them better than their father has.
