God can do all things. I am wondering if he will "fix" the mentality of my spouse.
[/quote">

He didn't fix mine.  She will probably realize someday what a fool she was, but it will be too late.

My story sounds a lot like yours.  Married 4.5 years, and my wife decides she's not in love anymore, not attracted to me, etc.

All I can say is prepare for the worst and don't take unnecessary blame on yourself.  There were things in my marriage that I was responsible for, but my ex blamed me for a lot of her behavior way above and beyond where my responsibilities ended.

Don't take that crap.  Each one of us has choices and we are accountable for.

I wish you the best in this hard time.
Re: The Ability of God maurice: I understand your feelings exactly!  I don't know why God didn't change my ex-wife's mind.  I know from scripture what is right and what is wrong, yet He did nothing to correct the wrong.

I do know that I want God to make all those people who wronged me pay.  But I also know I've wronged others and I want Him to forgive me.  Sadly, we sometimes don't get both.  He gave us free will and with it the ability to hurt others.

I have no answers for you, especially none from Him as he did not fix my ex.  God, how I wish He did!

Just because he doesn't answer doesn't mean he doesnt hear.  It just means that you have one plan for your life while his is entire other plan. some say, wanna make God laugh, make plans :)

Seriously?  Do you really think it was God's plan for my wife to leave me?

I think he wanted us to stay together and we/she screwed it up.  Doesn't mean he can't do something good with it, though.
Re: The Ability of God JadedButtafly: no i never said that, but God knows what is best for us... and I honestly believe as in my own circumstances that he didnt' answers my prayers because he  knows what is best for my life at this point. I believe she made a mistake, and often times in life as mistakes are made, we have to suffer the consequences that comes with those mistakes.

I do think it was God's plan. I like to think that even though we don't see it right now, there's a reason for everything that happens. Maybe you'll think of it as absurd, but perhaps something you learned from the whole situation with your wife, will be key in making your next relationship succesful and you will have worked on your issues and yourself so that you can finally achieve happiness.
