Master's Program startingover: I will be finishing my bachelor's degree next week. Grand Canyon University called today to talk with me about their online master's program.
Eventually I wanted to go back for my masters after a couple of years of working. Now I am wondering if I should stay where I am at for the next 1-1.5 years and do this before I start looking for work.
I'm finacially stable where I am at, but money is tight. Though with three kids it would be easier to get my masters before starting back to work.
Re: Master's Program just_me_detroit: If you go back to work it will be real hard to get your masters later.
If you can swing it get it done now.
You should still move though and get away from that town.
I used to take baseball lessons at Grand Canyon University.
Re: Master's Program trying...: Agree that it will be hard to get back to school once in the workforce, but you might want to get some 'real world' experience with your new degree - who knows, that might alter your idea of what you eventually want to study when you do go back.
I have found that degrees do open doors to new opportunities, but once you are in they become less and less important.
Re: Master's Program Zipsfb: I'm working on my masters now, didn't take time off and it's not so bad. I am working while going to school and although I do feel burnt out sometimes I'm still here and getting good grades. I'm actually planning to get a second masters when I'm done with this one in a year... I mean debt is debt right? As long as I'm in school my loans are deferred.
