You are of course, correct. If he prohibits you from seeing his child, there is nothing you can do. The child is not even close to the age where she can decide for herself.
If he will not listen to reason, then maybe there is someone close to him that might have influence? Someone that will listen to you?
Otherwise, you don't have anything to work with. You may just have to face moving on and leaving her behind along with everything else.
It's sad. This type of thing is one of the worst things that you read about on here.
