My late night thoughts........ Cherry: There are so many things that have come from the big D. I could not see out of it at the time but I am truly deep down happy for the first time ever in my life.
What are some great/good things that have come for this for you?
Re: My late night thoughts........ JadedButtafly: I realized just how unhappy I'd been for years with him... loved the man but I was self abusing myself and was never happy w/me. Since we seperated I've learned to love myself and have had more happiness than I've had in a long time.

Yeah, same here.
It broke my heart a few weeks ago when niece who is 7 said "I'm glad you and aunt S. are getting a divorce because you weren't the same Uncle Jimi when you were married to her." --and you know what, she's right. I was so busy trying to make her happy and make things work that I forgot to take care of myself and it made me miserable.
I've always loved myself in a weird kind of way.. but now I see who I am a bit more clearly.
