Re: Anyone on sleeping pills? darkrose: I don't take sleeping pills anymore.
Don't need 'em.
I take pain pills as needed for my back. Last night I needed. Badly.
Re: Anyone on sleeping pills? flipflopnomore: I take ambien too. I was prescribed 10 mg. but it made me feel sorta foggy the next day. I break them in half now. I am worried that I will get dependent on them too. I forgot them when I went out of town and I got zero sleep so that concerns me.
I thought the memory loss was just me. That is scary. I have had conversations on the phone right after I went to sleep and dont recall them either.
At this stage of my life, I need sleep. So some memory loss is ok with me. I just wish it would erase my jackass ex from my memory
Re: Anyone on sleeping pills? ace1234: Every night for the past 2-3 years. Not good for you but I have real trouble sleeping without it. I just take an over the counter sleeping aid. I haven't tried any prescription stuff. It seems to put me to sleep straight through.

Over the counter stuff hasnt worked for me in years.
I was taking 8 tylenol sleep which has 25mg of the sleep aid, and it does nothing for me. I wish OTC stuff worked for me...
Re: Anyone on sleeping pills? wizer_now: During the peak of turmoil in my marriage, when I was still living home, it was impossible to fall asleep, and I could not stay asleep.
I would often try to sleep by midnight, toss and turn until maybe 2 a.m. I would finally drift off til around 3 or 4 a.m. and then maybe fall asleep again for another hour or two. Needless to say I wasn't in best form the following day.
So I tried .5mg of Ambien. I don't even realize when it hit's me. I will be laying there waiting to fall asleep, around midnight, and then all of a sudden it's like 7 a.m. It's a bit scary how suddenly it can hit you.
Like all medications of this type, it can be habit forming so use with caution.
