Shame has nothing to do with it. Maybe "unwilling". Its ok. Really. Fear is very natural in a situation like this.
Sex With An Ex????? opal66: My divorce was final two weeks ago, about a month prior to the court date, my ex and I began talking and spending some time together, something we had not done in nearly two years. Long story short: since the divorce, we've slept together several times. Although it has been great sex, on the other hand I have come to the reality that for me it is very emotionally draining and upsetting. I really thought that I was over him and ready to move forward - perhaps my actions are telling a completely different story. I'm so confused! Part of me is really enjoying this new chapter and yet part of me is screaming to stop this and move on.
Has anyone ever been in this situation?
I think this is stopping me from moving forward - is it?
Re: Sex With An Ex????? XTINA: Your actions may also just mean that you wanted sex with someone familar who you had a bond with in the past. I'm sure great sex doesn't erase why you two got divorced in the first place.
Another note (and this may offend some but I think it is true): Women tend to read more emotions into a sexual encounter then men....has your exh expressed any feelings similar to yours after you were together recently?
Re: Sex With An Ex????? spooky: Never been there, but I've had the desire. I don't think you should read a whole lot into it, but it very well may be holding you back a little. If it's upsetting, it typically isn't good.
