We had about a year apart and then met up and remained friends. However, we began to have sex and while at the time I thought I could be strong, the reality was I was hoping this sex would lead to a reconnection.
If you are even feeling slightly confused, it seems like you might be attaching false hope to these encounters. In which case moving on will just be difficult until you walk away.

And Opal...not only is this true, but you already know that, don't you. The short term emotional satisfaction or relief that you get just isn't worth the long term tradeoff, which is slowing down, or even reversing the natural healing process.
