Re: Past abortion... what would you say? Whirlpool: It's not like she said "I used to be a crack whore". Who cares? Unless you are a strict religious person who could not be with someone who could do it. Then it's your problem imo :-\
Re: Past abortion... what would you say? katbuttkid: I agree that the past is the past.
What would bother me is that delivery.
sorta insensitive, ennit?
Re: Past abortion... what would you say? bjs2005: I guess the point I was getting at was, yes, the delivery was kinda ill timed and well, I don't know. I know the past was the past, but I think he was kinda looking for a way to tell her that he's sorry she had to go through that and not be judgemental about it. I know he's pro-life, so this bothers him a little, but it was her last boyfriend, so it's not like it was his kid, nor was he involved in the decision in any way.
I dunno, just seemed like a rough night, just wanted to see what everyone else's reaction may have been.

Re: Past abortion... what would you say? superwife: I agree with the masses here, it's the past and cannot be changed. Whether it was a month ago, or 10 yrs ago may make a difference to some. She obviously had her reasons. This is usually a touchy subject for most people; either you are for it or against it, regardless of the circumstances.
What would I say? I really don't know. I guess, being a woman, I would want the guy to say something. If I were the guy, I guess I'd say "is this soemthing you want to talk about"? But remember, I am a girl, not a guy, so I don't know if a guy would come up with that.

I would say, well it's good to know that if we have sex and you get pregnant and we don't want to get married, then there might be a way out...
