Re: Why should he benefit from my hard work? trapped: Snibs
It always makes me dumbfounded when my ex says to me "WHy are you so broke now?"
OMFG!!! Are you serious with this?!
Be proud of yourself. Screw him. Screw them. Youre a survivor, love.
Re: Why should he benefit from my hard work? Percy123: Awwww, so what. Life will get better. In the big picture this kinda stuff is so small. A blip. What matters is the big stuff.
In a couple of years it will be all back to good. I have been up and down twice now(financially and emotiuonally). Both times thanks to my ex. Both times I came back with more and better.
I think these times are good as they prove to yourself you can make it no matter what and they give you confidence. The measure of a person is when things are the hardest, at their worst. This is when you see the shine of their metal.

Mine never asked me why I was so broke. Instead he conveniently disappeared during the rough times. He showed back up when I got back on my feet and wanted to know how I did it. He was jealous beyond belief and wanted to credit the measely $400/month he was paying me for child support and spousal support as the reason. He figured he must've been paying me too much and wanted to get an order to lessen it.... ::)

I know you're right. It will all work out in the end. I just wanted to give in to the frustration for a minute. ;)
Re: Why should he benefit from my hard work? Magalucia: It does not surprise me that some people are willing to allow an ex spouse to struggle but it always blows my mind to know that there are parents out there willing to allow their kids to suffer.
Congratulations on all you have accomplished. You are an amazing role model for your kids.
