Starbury, concentrated manufacturing
.

Starbury, concentrated manufacturing fkunone: The Starbury shoe, $15.00 a pop and they look ok.  I don't know, but it seems like good marketing, eh?  But are they functional? Are they made by Converse? Or all his own deal?

Which brings up another question. Boy, they look like a lot of N shoes.  I just heard a story also on concentrated manufacturing, that although you got brand names on electronics, foods, etc., they are all manufactured by the same company, on a scaled economy basis.  Is this the same thing?

Re: Starbury, concentrated manufacturing Lumpy: I'm not sure about your question but this is nothing new. Olajuwan had a pair of tennies back in the 90's that were priced under 20 bucks. Shaq followed a few years later with his shoe that was also under 20 bucks. I had a pair of the Olajuwan shoes. I thought it was a good basketball high top. I'm not sure that "concentrated manufacturing" is the reason they're priced so low. Let's face it, no pair of shoes is worth 100 bucks plus. You're paying for the label and the star players name. Honestly, I never liked Jordan's to play in. They never provided enough ankle support. I always thought they were more for looks.
