My vote is take it down to zero (since it sounds like it's all your $$ anyway), remove your name if they won't let you close it and then open a new account.

Leave a little money in it if it makes you feel better, but get your paycheck going somewhere else.

Man that takes a lot of nerve to leave you and still keep spending your money. Sounds like your lovely wife is a piece of work (no offense).
