Re:Bipolar wife wants a divorce sirhc96: Well I was divorced a year ago. I always had the mood swings and what not, love her, want to leave her. Its not untill now, almost a year since our divorce finalized that I decided to get help and find out that I am bi-polar. I am now on meds and feeling much better. What ever you decide to do dont push her into anything. That is why I never went to get help before because I felt pushed into it, how could I be "crazy?" Ask her to go and see a doctor with you, but let her know why you are going. Just try and be supportive. Its not too late for you to save your marridge and chances are is that she still very much loves you, she just cant see that at times from her moods and self medicating herself with alcohol. Good luck, its never too late. Maybe its not even to late for me, who knows.
