Re:bipolar wife wants a divorce seth: Oh, your subject heading cracked me up: Bipolar Woman Wants Divorce."
Ha! That sounds like a headline on The Onion, a satirical newspaper..... :D
Re:bipolar wife wants a divorce seth: Yeah, I didn't mean to advise you to leave, necessarily.... My friend's wife has thought about leaving him but now he's doing okay w/ the meds and they're perfect together. It's hard but if you really love her give her a chance....
Re:bipolar wife wants a divorce jojo319: I'd like to give it a chance, but she doesn't seem to want to. She says she doesn't have the same feelings anymore. (even though 4 days ago she said it was perfect). I just don't know if I should believe her that it's really over. I'll just have a hard time living with her while she figures it out. Also, on a side note, are there any medications that will help with the excruciating wrenching feeling in my gut 24/7? :-[ Thanks for the help!
Re:bipolar wife wants a divorce amess: Whether she is bipolar one or two, ( sounds like two), it is very difficult, if not impossible to be a good friend to someone like this, let alone a spouse. It is remarkably controllable as long as that someone is taking the correct medication, refrains from alcohol, etc. If not, it will not get better. Everything about her is directed by this disease. No one can deal with this and be happy. For your own sanity, think about what you need to do, and demand she gets help. " it's hard for you to leave because you don't know if it's one of her moods or not". You'll never know until she takes responsibility for her illness. Leaving someone because of this situation is really not unwarrented, nor uncommon. You are in as much pain as anyone can be. Take care of yourself.
Re:bipolar wife wants a divorce jojo319: I guess the fact that she drinks 4-5 times a week isn't helping.
