Chemistry...sexual or intellectual?
.

Chemistry...sexual or intellectual? skavachi: Ok, so I was reading LS's thread about chemistry. What is chemistry? I hear people use it all the time. It's on TV, in magazines...everywhere. What IS it though. Is it that feeling between two people sexually, physically, intellectually? Can it be one of those, or all three? Is one better than the other? To constitute a feeling of chemistry between two people, what is required?

Granted, I know people that I am more drawn to than others. There are girls I have hung out with who are not as pretty as other girls I know, but I am more attracted to them. Personaity? All of my friends have good personalities. People know when they feel "something" for another person. Maybe we are all just animalistic and in the back of our brain we can sense pheromones. Thoughts?
Re:Chemistry...sexual or intellectual? Kinney26: I think they can be seperate. I think you can click with someone on a high level intellectually and then hit the sack with them and it could be terrible. I not sure about the physical thing. I think it is more, emotionally, intellectually, and sexually. If you can get all 3 at once, hang on and don't let go.

Re:Chemistry...sexual or intellectual? in_search_of: I think the trick is that any one of the three equals something other than chemistry...physical = lust, sexually = lust (I am not exactly sure what the difference between physical and sexual is in this scenario...but you know) and intellectually = friends. If you get a combination of the things then you are in business for chemistry really. Emotional, intellectual, physical all have to coexist for "chemistry" as it is known to happen. When you get that hold on tight and don't let it out!
Re:Chemistry...sexual or intellectual? jason_stl: Specifically, I can't put my finger on what exactly chemistry is, yet I know that I have used the word before. It is one of those non-quantitative variables in life that you just can't control. I think ISO has it right though. When you find the combination of great sexual chemistry and a friend, you know you found a good thing.

Re:Chemistry...sexual or intellectual? LSFool: Ok.

This all makes me feel worse.
