Re:what I learned- my Stan impression clambakesX: maybe it's a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-dont situation ... I tried to relax and spent money on Clam (dance lessons, eating out etc) but it was all money down the drain ... while he covered his own pension payments etc etc ...
Re:what I learned- my Stan impression recentlydiscarded: It's kind of weird. Money is supposedly the number one issue in problem marriages. It is the one thing my husband and I NEVER ever had a fight about. OUR issue was him putting his stupid job before his family. Hmm...I hope he gets fired :)
Re:what I learned- my Stan impression Shanna: money wasn't our prob at all either...we have debt, but no biggie........he put his job first and I asked him to try to put about 20% of what he does into work in to his family. He was just lazy and I called him on it and he hated that
Re:what I learned- my Stan impression recentlydiscarded: My husband manages a bar. Yes..you can imagine all the problems and issues that come with that. He makes really good money..but guess what? I would have rather collected food stamps and done without a lot of stuff and had him working a more family-oriented job than to keep going on with the stress of his job and the strain it put on our marriage. It's too bad 4 months ago he was alllll ready to quit that job for US and even relocate if that is what it took because he claimed he hated the job but was afraid of losing out on the money....then when it came down to it he picked that job over us? Unbelievable. I think he just loves all those 21 year olds kissing his ass and fawning all over him. Pretty sad that it is worth losing a family over huh? ???
