Intimacy is vital to this and I do believe sex is very important , esp for men, in this respect. If the sex is absent , then something is missing from the relationship. Intimacy is much more than just sex, but I dont believe you can have true intimacy in a marriage with no sex.Well at least I cant. I stayed for a long time and tried everything to make it work, she just wasnt interested. So now im moving on. You cannot prune a dead tree. M

Initmacy and sex is a vital part of a relationship for BOTH men and women. I don't think it's moreso for the man than the woman. When I would approach the subject with my ex he would pretty much tell me that he had no sex drive left anymore, that he was old, and that if I wanted it I could either jump on him or it would have to be some other kind of sexual act. All this from man who when we got divorced was only 31 - he started this b.s. when were not even married more than 3 years!
Talk about a relationship killer...
