Peeved
.

Peeved ionysis: I'm peeved. Not annoyed, that would be too strong a word for it, but most definitely PEEVED. Sometimes its just the small things that really grate on the nerves....

The ex has been letting me use his car while my 14 year old cousin stays with me so I can drive her around. But I said I would take him to work to save him from getting a taxi. This morning I was running late, lost my car keys, got blocked in by a bus full of construction workers and am wearing new heels which are killing my feet already. But I HAVE made more than the usual effort with my appearance as I have a morning meeting.

So I eventually get to his apartment block and pick him up (10 mins late). Granted, he is really busy and stressed about work and his computer crashed so he wasn't in a great mood but was it entirely necessary for him to actually look at me and say "Oh dear you have a spot this morning" whilst entirely failing to notice that I've had 6 inches chopped off my hair and its now blonde not brown.

>:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Its days like today when I realise there really ARE benefits to not having to be married to that man - or any man for that matter!

Re: Peeved JustBlu: Oh God yes!!! There are benefits - I have these moments too and they only reinforce that divorce was right for us!!

Ignore him I bet you looked great!

Re: Peeved trapped: Yes, thats a valid reason to be peeved!  What the hell?!  You must have been so tempted to say something along the lines of "Uhhh, notice anything different here?!".

However, what stands out to me in this thread is that you are only peeved and not annoyed or full on upset.  Thats worth something.  If this had happened just a short time back I think your reaction may have been stronger.  Maybe Im wrong but in a way, just because of your not getting all worked up about it, this is actually a little victory for you.

Im sure there was a way for me to say this that was less wordy but hopefully the point Im trying to make is in there somewhere!

I bet your FWB noticed  ;) :-*

Re: Peeved ionysis: Thanks girls! Men huh?!

Yep Trapped you are right. I haven't seen so much of The Ex this week but I did have an enjoyable drink with a rather cute 23 year old friend I acquired recently (I know, I know, just call me Mrs Robinson) who DID notice the new haircut. Its good to feel that when my ex is a d*ck it is just irritating rather than a cause of devastation and another bout of "why doesn't he love me anymore!!!" *wail* *sob* *gnash teeth*.

Life does have its ups and downs but a new haircut always helps.  ;)
