He amazes me yet again... ColoMommy: So, F is in Cali for a couple more weeks. He was going with his family to Disney Land yesterday...So, last night I get a call w/ a vm telling me that he'd call back soon and needed me to answer. He wanted to get a souvenir for each of my kids. I was shocked. Usually, the types of guys I find want nothing to do with my kids or they only deal with them on account of me. **Needless to say, that's why none of them are around any more** It's just weird because we both tend to be rather emotional people but we both are coming into this very logically. And, the way he is with my kids and how he veiws the responsibity (not for taking care of them but knowing there is a responsibility when getting involved in their lives) is astounding to me. Anyway, he said he was getting some things for his kids and thought of mine too. He decided on really great souvenirs for the kids that they are going to love. I just thought it was the sweetest gesture.

Maybe she just hasn't dated a "nice" guy before. So all of these experiences are new to her.

I know it seems crazy to you but no, I have NEVER dated a nice guy before. Really. I haven't. Sounds so awful now to say it and look back. I wasn't even married to a nice guy! So, all these things are indeed new experiences to me. All of these things are part of what keeps me in awe.
To be even more honest, until recently when people asked me if I knew any nice guys, I couldn't really tell them that I knew more than 1. Period. And, that one is married to my best friend. Not my dad, not my ex...I really thought most nice guys were just something from fairy tails. Sounds silly, I can't deny that. But even guys who always claimed to be "the nice guy" were not really once they were behind closed doors, once you were personal, once they weren't in public...
I'm glad I am giving a nice guy a chance too!! ;D
