Do Long-Distance relationships work?
.

Do Long-Distance relationships work? Tashani03: This is a question that has been going round and round my head for a while now. I wonder if any of you have ever had a long-distance relationship and if it worked. If it did, what made it work? If it didn't, what made it fail? How did you cope with not seeing your partner for months at a time? And if you considered, but decided against it, what made you vote nay? How did you eal with the potential for straying. A friend of mine once had a long distance relationship, and both opted for it to be an open relationship when they were away from eachother, but exclusive when together. What do you guys think of that option?

By long-distance, I mean living in another country.

Re: Do Long-Distance relationships work? yella: Well, being in a long distance relationship within the states, I can see my SO a little more than if he were in the UK or someplace like that. However, it doesn't really make it all that easier.

That being said, if it's an open relationship, and both agree, then I guess it can work up until a certain point.

The question to really ask is: Is the relationship really going to go anywhere? If so, then yeah, it can work. If not, what's the point?
