Unable to believe that my x doesn't love me ChristyM: I could have written your post -- word for word. I bombarded him with all the reasons I knew he loved me ... mushy card just two weeks prior, a romantic dinner and great sex. *sigh* but unfortunately that stuff just doesn't register for them.
I will say it won't do any good to continue to have those talks with him if you think at some point you will see a lightbulb go on and he'll say he has decided to stay. It won't happen. I also decided if he didn't want to be with me then I would move on. I have more self-respect than to continue to beg someone to love me. Hang in there and continue posting here -- it does help.

Edited to add: and for what it's worth, my ex did eventually realize that love is about more than infatuation, so it can happen. Unfortunately it was too late for us.
