Re: Stupid comments aaawyeahhh: I know exactly how you feel about that. I so dislike that phrase........at least you don't have kids. Ok yeah, that would mean that the divorce would be metalling in two lifes. However, it still hurts just as bad.
Re: Stupid comments WCG: Amen to that comment -- I have heard it from everyone I know! We had names picked out, too, and I was sure I'd have twins. Makes me feel even more of a failure. I fear that was my last chance (hitting mid 30s) and it's salt in the wound. Now the new stupid things include things such as "why don't you go to a sperm bank?" Ick! But I haven't given up hope completely; I'm just not enamored with the thought of having children in my late 30s and definitely not 40s.

Re: Stupid comments totallyconfused: No kidding!!  I get the whole "at least you don't have kids.  You're still young and it'll be so much easier to find someone else without them.  You have your whole life ahead of you.  You can do much better, you're really better off without him."  Thanks.......

Re: Stupid comments TheresaG: Well, I have to say, the comment I hate the worst is ... Oh, your poor little girl, how will she be without having a father for a role model???   >:(  They must be joking!!!!   :o

She has plenty of uncles (I come from a large close family) who are better role models for her than her father ever would be.

Re: Stupid comments goincrazy: See my problem is that we did have a child. He past away from SIDS when he was 4 months old. So the people that usually say thyings like that are so unsure what to say.
Most of the time they do the "I'm Sorry" bit but when I come back "Why? I'm not" Thay look so flustered. It's rather amusing!
I mean I'm not sorry for those few months I got to spend with the best baby in the world. He was the best thing to happened to me during our marriage.
