Re: can the leopard change its spots? inebr: I would want to know what motivated him to leave the relationship when he did back in September and what he has done or what has changed inside of him that this won’t happen again. I am in a similar sticky situation where my h doesn’t want to get divorced but doesn’t want to be married. He has a history of pulling away from the relationship and then returning to just pull away again. I think in reconciliation it is important for both people to understand the underlying feelings or reasons for leaving the relationship and what can be done to change that reaction or at least to communicate about it openly. I guess it all comes down to communication. I tend to want to ASK a lot of questions and DEMAND answers or I tend to be completely passive and not ask at all. There is a balance to be found. I am still working on communicating.
