Everquest II
.

Everquest II brokenman: I spent a couple hours last night on Everquest II. Oh man, what an improvement. I hope the game continues to be as simple and fun as time goes on. It appears to have all the rich content of the original EQ with the style of Star Wars Galaxies. I am impressed. I meant to play for about an hour and ended up shutting it off four hours later.

If anyone cares to join me I have a character on the Oasis server named Oathunk. I know somebody out here has to be an MMORPG junkie. :) I am also willing to create a character on a different server. If there are enough of us, perhaps we can be guild mates.

Man, I am going to be losing a lot of sleep.
Re:Everquest II Bug: Is it finally out then? Though I wasn't impressed with Star Wars Galaxies. :( I love EQ though. How are the trade skills? How big is the world? :)

Re:Everquest II brokenman: Yes, it is finally out. I found it at Walmart last night and was suprised it was out already but after I got on it appeared that people have been hard at it for a week now. I could be wrong.

Yeah, SWG was a major disappointment. It had a lot of promise. It still does, but it is fading. I don't know, perhaps it is my love of Star Wars movies that has me holding big hopes for the game... but alas, I will not play it again.

I haven't done anything with tradeskills yet. I never did in the original EQ either (I only played a couple months before deciding to wait for EQ2). The world seems plenty big. Luclin is destroyed and I don't see any teleport system like the original. But there aren't huge load times and the maps are much bigger for each zone so it is enjoyable.
Re:Everquest II Bug: Oh no not running everywhere again. ACK. LMAO. Ah well. I played eq for about a year. before the teleport system which I loved once it was in place. But then again I had a druid so I could go where I wanted anyway. I quit because it was taking me away from my homework to much so Im not sure I will try eq two even when I can afford it. But if my brother buys the game maybe I will play sometime on his. Are there alot more classes and races now? How about toon disignablity? It was suppose to be alot better.
Re:Everquest II brokenman: What I have done so far isn't that bad. There is enough content that you don't feel the distance. Of course, I haven't needed to travel 4+ zones to get where I am going yet.

As far as races go, it looked to me like you could play any of the previous races except Froglok. And they are there, but the community as a whole has to unlock them. I didn't notice any new ones. But those that are there are a lot better looking.

Character creation was excellent. While being simple it let you modify everything like eyes, ears, nose, chin, hair, body art, etc. All aspects too, like color, size, position and angle.

I just can't wait to get back home to it.
