Re: daughters mood swings Lisaf: That sounds so tough! I can't imagine what it must be like to watch an 8-year-old...who should be a happy kids with no worries...go through that kind of stuff!!! And its so frustrating because all you're seeing is behaviour, behaviour, behaviour...Keep your chin up! Counselling for you sounds like a good place to start. I know how expensive it is...luckily for me I was able to find a psychiatrist which means my therapy is covered by our provincial health plan. A psychologist would cost me $120 per visit!!! Ouch!
Re: daughters mood swings lisaAnn: I hear you. I do not have any health insurance, but she does i think through her father, i don't know what to do now that he lost that other job, they said that they needed to change insurances. It broke my heart last night, i heard her tell her father on the phone that her best present ever would be when he walks through the door!! i could have cried!!

Re: daughters mood swings Lisaf: Oh man...that would have done me in too. I got "you and daddy not living together ruined my life" (she's not allowed to watch Lilo and Stitch ANYMORE!!! LOL)... My daughter could make me cry 20 times a day if I let her.
You guys will get through!
Re: daughters mood swings lisaAnn: She doesn't seem too bad today, but then again, it's only 8:00am ;D hopefully, her step mom will ask her to come over this weekend. That may sound mean, but for my sanity, and a fresh atmosphere for her, i think it would be good...plus...i need a break!!!!!
Re: daughters mood swings ZzzMidnightZzz: My 7 year old Daughter is also going through mood swings :( It really pisses me off at my s2bx that she walked out after 10 years w/o ever even trying, and now my Daughter has to suffer! She is always worried that mom is going to forget about her, so she left a teddy bear that when you give it a hug it makes a kissing sound and says "I love you". She told her mom that when ever she misses her to give it a hug. In some ways it hurts me because she lives with me and I don't get that extra attention, and the one that walked out does.
