Chapter 7 Bankruptcy? Fresca: Ok, thanks to my idiot s2bx apparently not thinking about the financial implications of separating (how does that slip your mind, anyway? ::) ::)), we are in serious financial straights.
Does anyone have any direct experience with this? I'm not looking for should I/shouldn't I, but experiences, good or bad, with filing chapter 7.

Re: Chapter 7 Bankruptcy? MzVenge: I live in Washington state,I just found out that it does not matter if the home was awarded to my EX spouse or not,I am still responsable for it cause my name is on the contract.
He has defaulted on 2 payments it will be going into forcloser on or before Aug 10th 2002,he has told me that if it does not sell he will file for bankruptcy.
I have also been told by the morgage company that I have 2 opptions: 1st is for me to pay it off what is oweing + the 2 months that he missed 14K,who has that kind of money in there back pocket? not I
2nd is for me to re-fiance it,I know for a fact that it can not be re-fianced its in a moble home park....I have searched the net trying to find something on this,I have found nothing..I cant afford a lawyer some free advice would be nice....
He told me just yesterday that he does not care what happends to me,he only care's what happends to him...
Will I loose what I have? My car? my credit? my life?
