I went to the courthouse today to file the petition. When I got there I realized my stbx had altered the petition when he gave it back to me! I was so mad, I had to drive back to the Eastside, print out a new petition, drive to his work and have him sign the new one, and then drive back to the court. Needless to say my day sucked! But boy am I glad to have started my 90 waiting period.
Now selling my house and paying off HIS debt is my next battle.
Re: OJar around Washington Marb_Man: The meeting went great. I go in next week to start work on some plans with them and get familiar with the manager of the Spokane portion. I just can't wait to get going again. I know the area and location of the shop will be in south Seattle so now I will start looking into Rentals for now. It will be a month or two if they decided to move me over there. Hopefully next week they stick me on payroll.. ;D I put starting a new company on hold for this company so hopefuly they get me started soon. Just so you know I had to make an extra trip myself the first time I went to file..I am on my countdown and it's about 30 days and I will be FREE man :)
I went to the meeting with the HUD about my mortgage options. In WA. both parties are responsible for every house payment until it is sold..living there or not. If you are paying it all now you might be able to get your half back out of the sale by order of the judge. I am keeping my home but I was asking about release of trust. The other party cant give you there half of the house unless it is refinanced. If he is going to give you his half for the bills and you are going to to pay them have him sign the trust release. Its burried somewhere in all of those papers. If it is something you have to request and you already know about it please let me know...Thanks :)
Re: OJar around Washington Tlee: That is a great point you made. I have been so stressed out over money lately. He left me with all the bills. He refuses to pay anything as long as I am living at the house. The title and mortgage are under my name only. His credit is so bad he would never be approved. But, it is still considered community property so hopefully I can get some sort of compensation in the end. I just have to make it there :)
Good luck on the search for a rental. That is what I plan on doing once I sell my house. It is a renters market, I've been checking the paper and the prices seem reasonable.

Man when I get over there I am gonna go to games, the Beach, concerts, the San juans all of the time, and the Cascades.
I am gonna be a freak just going everywhere. I want to go downtown and get drunk and walk from club to club. I am going to go buy fresh fruit and fish at Pikes Market and flowers for my girlfriend if I ever get one. I am excited. at least I have something to look forward to. ;D

I got the job and the kids mom finally got one also. She is working downtown so it will be easy to drop the kids off with her if she ever wants to see them. After I move of course.
I am on top of my game right now and it feels great.
