I have asked a lot of people what manipulation is, and have gotten a lot of different answers. The one I am going with is "trying to influence someone through indirect methods." i.e. not being truthful, playing games, using leverage, etc.
I don't think that expressing my thoughts and feelings truthfully is manipulation.
