Games, storytelling, songs *smile* RecoveringinDE: How is your holiday month going? Figured we could play a game tonight! Albiet, I won't be here for much of it since I'm off for dinner, dancing and NO alcohol, but drinking for me at my company party and I can't wait! It's going to be a blast =) I will try to join in if I get home early enough.
Any suggestions for games? Or you can sing your favorite holiday song =) Or as the title says, storytelling =) Tell us about your favorite holiday and why. Or tell us a great story from any holiday =) If you play a game, make sure you tell the rules up front! No fair cheating with the rules later! ;)
Have fun!

Re:Games, storytelling, songs *smile* OldSchool: Well, I'll be playing poker all day tomorrow with some friends, so I'll just give my favorite holiday.
As far as I can remember, Thanksgiving has always brought my family together. When I was younger, I can remember helping my Grandpa feed his rabbits, do odd jobs around his house, then helping my grandma check up on the turkey. It would be a couple of hours before dinner, and everyone in the room predicts a final score for the 1st football game on TV as we all pitch in a buck.
I was one of the oldest grandchildren, so it was great to be the little guy at the table of poker/pinochle players.... and even better to clean house. ;)
Everyone is relaxed... no pressure of gift-giving...just be sure to bring an appetite and save room for pumpkin pie and leftover turkey sandwiches.
