Speaking of funny stories...I was talking to my mil after I got into a car accident last weekend...she had called to make sure that everything was okay, etc. and was telling me that this just hadn't been my year...
I told her it must have been time for me to have another car accident since I had gotten into one right after stbx and I had gotten married...I had to get into another to get divorced...at least she laughed...

Isn't it funny how weird things like that happen(the car accident before and after your marriage)? I think god has a weird sense of humor. ;) Or a funny way of proving a point.
I too have always had to watch my mouth...sarcasm can be a really funny thing or it can be a destructive thing...and yes, I have used it both ways. I hear you when you say some people don't get it as times and that is usually when I know I am coming on to strong with it. It's weird but I think I have changed alot when it comes to my sarcasm...I met up with an old girlfriend (who I hadn't seen for 7 years) on friday night and I was blown away by her sarcasm....! Unfortunately, I think she is getting worse as she gets older and I DON'T want to be like that. She was hateful at times and that really got to me. That is why I had to respond to your thread on it. I almost told her how much it bothered me when she asked, "You probably think I am mean?" I sat there and let it go. I will have to definately talk to her about it or I won't do things with her anymore. She is a great person but it makes her so ugly. I just have to find the right time to bring it up...Wish me luck! ;)

...and you're right, I don't want to become an angry, bitter, or mean person, so I won't let that happen or my sarcasm get out of control...but, I do want to hold onto the rest of my weird, bizarre sense of humor! ;D

Re:Sarcasm and humor OldSchool: Angel: I didn't expect him to say anything... I didn't care what he thought and knew there wasn't anything to comment on. I've found myself voicing my opinion in front of anyone at anytime... well at least I still have my job. My boss must be used to me by now.
MTMO: I liked your comment to your mil. That sounded like you just shot that from the hip... good for you! There are a number of things I've said and done to lighten up my situation.
I remember sitting in a restaurant bar the afternoon I separated and my HS buddy said to me something funny. He said, "Why haven't you burned her clothes yet?" That snapped me out of a minor lull and I just laughed... I said I couldn't do that... then he said, "Give me your keys, I'll burn the b----e's clothes myself." He was borderline offensive, but I needed that. :)
