I was told by the ex and made to feel that way. He had me believing that I didn't deserve to have a man treat me like gold because I was a bad wife, a bad mother, a bad lover. It took a long time - but I finally started to see what he was doing. I left him almost a year ago - we'll have a big party on the 15th of Jan!! In that year - I have been working on me - rebuilding me so to speak. I am almost back to the person that I was before I was so broken. I believe that I deserve to be treated with love and respect. I want that. But sometimes - especially on those lonely nights - it's easy to remember those horrible things that were said and not believe them.

In my past life - the only time that the ex ever made me feel that way was because he wanted something from me. Not because I deserved to be treated nice. So I have to work on trusting that Mr. Wonderful is being so wonderful because he is so wonderful and not because he wants something.

Again here I am covering my tail with the line "I'm just a dumb Alberta Redneck that don't know how to keep his yap shut". Ladies I understand your wanting to heal to feel you can give back a love that is being felt for you. Both or should I say all three of you girls (no throughing bricks I know women) will find men out there that are good soals. Take your time to heal but keep the eyes open. Love hits at the oddest of times (for me it's usually a slap in the back of the brain pan). Healed or not don't hesitate to allow it into your lives you deserve it. And before we get into the rounds again let me add " A little honey makes the medicine go down".
