Re:hard time concentrating... jen: Cali-

Personally I think some practical things would help to manage some of it.

* Make lists to keep track of the stuff you absolutely can't forget to take care of.

*I know it's been raining, but have you been running?

* Meditate or deep breathing exercises

* Bubble baths

* Try to remember to focus on the things you can control instead of getting hung up on the things you can't (that's usually what I am doing when I start to have lots of anxiety).

* Get back to one minute, one hour, one day at a time

Hugs!

Re:hard time concentrating... caligirl: i know largely, its because i've been cooped up here in the apt....depressing myself.
..and no, i haven't been running regularly, so i am sure that adds to it....
i'm trying to stay focused with stuff i CAN control, but quite honestly, am having a real hard time with it...
i'm trying to read alittle more before bed sot relax me...but the self help books sometimes are depressing as well....
as you said MTMO....one minute, one hour one day at a time right?
thank you.

Re:hard time concentrating... krunk79: Hmm.... don't read self help books to relax. If they're worth the paper they're printed on, they'll make you think a lot about yourself and your situation, and that's not what you need right before bed. Read fiction that you enjoy to relax. Or maybe a Fox Trot comic book or something like that.

As far as the concentration goes--if you find a solution, let me know! I've been pretty scatterbrained too. Fortunately I've been doing my job so long I can pretty much do it on autopilot, so work hasn't been suffering, but somone will say something to me and 30 seconds later I have to ask them to repeat it because I forgot what they said.
