Re:Need ideas on where to meet people Suddenly Single: My guy is about 301.9 miles away which is about 4 1/2 - 5 hours depending on traffic/weather/speed! ;D We met 1/2 way a couple times and now we just sort of take turns doing the whole way. It is SO worth it.

However - if no one is considering moving then it is futile. I never had a long distance, never wanted one and never thought too seriously about moving. I mean I always said I did want to leave Illinois and move somewhere else for at least awhile and when I got divorced I always said I would leave because I didn't think I could handle being here after losing all my friends and family. But I was handling it and it was fine. I had fleeting thoughts of blowing my settlement money on a traveling year or leaving to live somewhere "fun" and buying a cute condo or something. But now that I've met him, I want him and want to be with him so - we are definately talking in that direction. Due to his circumstances he cannot leave at all and due to mine I totally can so that was an easy decision in a way.

Re:Need ideas on where to meet people butters: Thanks for all the replies. I will have to just get out there and try a few of them.

Hey kellsbee what part of Oklahoma are you in, I hope the dating pool is better than out her in the NW.
Re:Need ideas on where to meet people kellsbee: Hey Butters! I am in central okla. Half way between OKC and Tulsa. Town called Chandler. Dating pool sucks here too. Wal-mart seems to be the hot place to meet people. Everyone needs toilet paper! LOL
