bi-polar unchecked ricko8: How can the medical and legal profession get away with enabling a mentally ill person to destroy the lives of 6 beautiful children as well as my own?
To begin with I'm over 35 and if I could find a site for my age group I'd be there. However I just want go get some of this out , and maybe one of you can direct me to a more suitable site.
I was a single Dad living with my first 3 children in the late eighties, and relatively wealthy having been in business for some 25 yrs. I knew my children would be on their own soon and I would be alone with a fair amount of money and no need to work any more.
Well I was seduced by a very dynamic and and ambitous young women ( 13 yrs my jr.) and within 6 mos. and about 15 cases of vodka I agreed to marry her, her only request was to have 6 kids in short order.
When I met her I had a large retirement house under construction , and we moved into it 6 mos. before we married.
Fast forward to 6 kids within 7yrs. a live in Nanny, her working as the director of a Healthclub nearby.
First sign was her stealing and forging $3500. travelers checks out of my briefcase. Hundred dollar bills missing out of my pocket, missing jewelry and insurance fraud, conning my secrateries out of money from my corp., never eating with family, staying out all night, cocaine bags,wine bottles ,anti-depressand pkgs left all over house, etc.
This when our Nanny was no longer with us and me alone cooking cleaning and driving my kid to all there sports games , practices etc.
When confronted , denial , denial or my fault, finally to hospital, and AA.
Of course she was'nt going and pretending to, when her boss called and said she had stolen some 35k from work and was being fired, what with 35k in credit card debt, I obviously freaked. To be continued...

Welcome to Ojar. Wow I just read your story and you definately have been for a ride. Hang in there! Its very hard when your mate is on drugs...sometimes they cant stop themselves. I will look for your continuation...
