Attitude-- what do ya'll think? A002702: I guy that I work with left this on my desk this morning. I am trying to fit it in my situation:
Attitude: The longer you live, the more you realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, or a home. the remarkable thing is that we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. we cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. we are in charge of our attitudes.--Charles Swindoll.
I think what most of us have gone through, this is very hard to live by. I'll be the first to admit that my attitude sucks right now. I will try to do better.

Re:Attitude-- what do ya'll think? Terry: Wise words for sure! Did this guy think you needed it??
I am thinking a few of the ex's we speak of might benefit too! ;)
I'm all for insight on why we think the way we do!
Hugs,
Terry

Re:Attitude-- what do ya'll think? bella: Absolutely spot on. Every thought counts when you open your eyes try a positive one honestly it makes a difference. Words and thoughts the more positive the better and attitude and reaction to situation is key. It is really hard when you are devastated and feeling down or have been blown away by anothers actions but positive attitude and thoughts for your future are a great resource. I also really check for positive affirmations and quotes there are loads of websites and books with daily meditations to help train your mind to react in a different way. The time they help the most is if you are in a negative frame of mind. Changing reaction to events how you view the events and attitude to the future are vital.
Re:Attitude-- what do ya'll think? ChristyM: Charles Swindoll is a great Christian writer and speaker. I agree wholeheartedly with his assertion. I know for me personally, once I decided to change my attitude and quit living for him (the ex) and instead live for myself and get in charge of my life, the bitterness vanished. Sure, I still had my moments but I just kept reminding myself that I would not be a victim any longer. A big thing that helped me was to remember that while my situation sucked a lot, there was someone else out there going through a lot tougher time than I was. I have a good family friend that is quickly dying of cancer and when I'd get down, I'd remind myself that at least I wasn't going through that trial.
