Provisional hearing drama.... CPmommy: My copy of the papers for the provisional hearing came in the mail yesterday. He opened them before I got home. Apparently, there was a discrepancy in the date of the provisional hearing. His papers said April 8, mine said Feb. 8. So he wanted me to call my lawyer and get a continuance. I said, "Why?" He said, "Because a week isn't enough time to find a lawyer." I said, "You've known about this for weeks!" So he got pissed. His mom called me at work this morning - she works at the courthouse and had looked up the papers. She said I needed to call my lawyer and tell him I was filing a continuance and that she'd do all the paperwork. Said to call her back after I talked to him. This afternoon, STBX called to see if I'd talked to my lawyer. I said, "Yes, it's Feb. 8." He started yelling, "It can't be Feb. 8! That's not enough time! You never had any intention of filing a continuance, did you? You better be prepared to shell out big bucks because I'm just going to file continuance after continuance! You're ruining the kids lives!!" He asked why I didn't tell his mom that I had no intention of filing a continuance. I said, "Frankly, I was surprised she called me." Can you see here part of the reason he is the way he is??? Sheesh!
Re:Provisional hearing drama.... Shanna: Some people have to make everything in life so much more difficult than it has to be.....grrrr.....I am mad for you.
HUGS girl...I hope he gets a brain and uses it.
Re:Provisional hearing drama.... CPmommy: Thanks, Sully. I'm not holding my breath.
The thing that makes me the angriest is that he can't see what HE's doing to the kids. Because he does all this IN FRONT OF the kids. It breaks my heart.
Re:Provisional hearing drama.... dj: It's all about control cp...all about control. He has none and hates that so he wants to make everything your fault. Dig in and hang in there...you are doing what you need to do.
Re:Provisional hearing drama.... timetobefree: Maybe his mom can get him a lawyer? And while she is at it, maybe she can cut up his dinner for him? ;D Sorry, couldn't help it!
Good for you for sticking to your guns!
Kudos!
