I haven't looked at most of the stuff that Wildcat21 has mentioned, but I *have* looked at the David DeAngelo stuff. I've been thinking for a while about bringing it up on this board, but I wasn't sure what to say about it. Personally, I think it's quite solid. When you look at the types of books he reads and gets his ideas from, it becomes obvious that he's an extremely intelligent man. Maybe I'll bring it up later... right now, I'm probably just better off getting out of the way before all the flames start.

Re:Bummed Sman: Thanks for the rude awakening. In the beginning I was not a door mat and did my own thing, but then I became a door mat. Thinking back on it I became a huge door mat. No wonder she wanted out. Never did that when I first meet her, always did what I wanted to do. I should have made her do somethings for me once in a while.

While I'd agree with Wildcat regarding communication I think the rest of his advice is a little suspect. Are you just looking to mow down some skirts or do you want a meaningful relationship? Be yourself! If you're a sensitive/emotional person (what Wildcat chooses to call a WUSS) then you should portray yourself in an honest fashion. Playing games is for high-school students and frat boys. I'm not saying it doesn't work but what do you end up with? Stay Sane.
