Alright, let me play devil's advocate on this one. Are we really talking about playing games, or is it actually just learning how to communicate on a non-verbal level? I actually looked into the DeAngelo stuff quite seriously, and I found that I could incorporate a lot of that knowledge into myself without actually changing much about my personality. All I feel that really happened was (1) I started to understand women a little better, and (2) I started feeling more comfortable because I didn't feel like a tourist lost in Paris mispronouncing words in an English-to-French dictionary. I can't deny that the better you understand a mode of communication, the easier it is to use it for deceit, but it doesn't mean you *have* to use it that way!
It's really hard to explain what I mean. Hmmmmm! Let me think on it for a while.

I can understand if you're talking about role-playing in the bedroom or if you're just trying to bed some fantasy woman but in the context of a devoted relationship I don't think it's healthy. I also like Berens' analogy. If it gives you a better understanding of the female psyche then it has some worth. I also agree that a doormat is never sexy for either sex. Confidence is key, but when does it cross over into arrogance?
