My rock in whom I will trust down south xhubbie: Preface
According to the Bible, a wise man(or woman) builds his house upon a solid foundation made of rock or stone while the foolish man builds his house upon sand. When the trials of life and temptation comes his way, his house is washed away.
For divorcees, it's helpful to note that you can't base all of your hope and happiness on human beings. As humans, we are all "fallen". In other words, we all make mistakes. We all stumble. Also, even if another human being is WILLING to take care of all your problems, they are NOT ABLE to do so. It's also too much pressure to put on anyone. This, it's crystal clear now, is one of the major reasons why my marriage didn't work out.
The poem
Now Lord here I stand
wondering whether my house is built on sand
Yet the storms came crashing ashore,
but you hold me fast once more.
for you promised to "never leave me nor forsake me"
your love is true.
you've shown me what to do
to draw closer to you.
so here I huddle in the storm
and though it's cold, you keep my safe and warm
you are my strength, my salvation, and my shield
you hold me fast still
