LOSING MY MIND - NEED LAW ADVICE! achingallover: o.k. you guys, here's the deal - and the law advice is not aobut me, it is about this so called "friend" who is living in my driveway. This woman, who by the way, smokes pot daily, is living in my driveway through all of this. I invited her in, and now she will not leave. She pays us $400/mo rent. She lives in a trailer in my driveway and refuses to leave. I have called the police and asked them what I can do here about getting her out, and they said that because she has been there for more than 6 months, she is considered a tenant and I cannot kick her out. I went out and asked her this morning what her plans were for leaving and she FREAKED out on me. She has betrayed me with giving my husband info that he totally freaked out about on me last weekend after I told her to step out of this whole thing. So, things are not good here. I went out to her trailer and asked her what her plans were for moving out - adn she said it's none of my business and that she is moving in with my stbx when I'm gone until she gets enough money to move elsewhere. NOW THAT'S FREIDSHIP FOLKS!!!! anywho, then she proceeded to freak out at me about all that she has done for me and how horrible I am treating her and blah blah blah...vicitim stuff. This woman has no self-respect. Anyway, my stbx, and 50% owner of the house, has her doing things like cleaning the pool and stuff. NO WAY!!! She needs to be doing nothing here and in my house as little as possible. God I want this chic out of my house and the best I can do is evict her in 6 months and by then she'll be living in my house with my stbx. I could call the police on her for the pot, but I have known that she was doing it in her trailer and there are witnesses that know that too. As a matter of fact, my stbs smoked with her 1 or 2 times. Anywho, guys, any ideas here?! She's driving me nuts!

That is a tough one! Can you push her trailer into the street? j/k ;D If she is considered your tenant could you evict her? The smoking on your property could be grounds for that. To make a little light of the situation: Have you ever watched the show punk'd? They had an episode where Jessica Simpsons relatives brought the trailer up to her yard to move in. If you have you will be chuckling now. If not watch the reruns on MTV! Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

My stbx cannot keep her out of this and what he isn't getting is that involving her in ANYWAY, even to do the dishes is BAD BAD BAD!!! So, I am trying to deal. I would love to call the police on her and report her for drug usage on my property, but like I said, I've known about it for quite some time and have just not spoken of it to her - except to try to get her to see that it's not good for her and trying to encourage her to get into a12 step program. GOD...I"M SUCH AN ENABLER!!!! For her and my stbx.
