Is there a reason? willow78: Why do they cheat? does it make everything better for them? All it does as far as I can see is it makes things worse! And to top it off my stbex,comes over and tells me things like "I have times when I really miss you, I look at our wedding pictures and i smile". "when you smile at me it makes me realize what I am missing". And then he goes back to his girlfriend!!!!! He says I will always have a special place in his heart. He even said he wouldn't mind sleeping with me! I love my husband very much, so these things he says really hit me hard. Why would he say things like that when he left me for someone else? I love him but he ticks me off!!!! ???

Stop talking to him, stop letting him come over, go completely DARK on him.
The next time he remarks about sleeping with you just say, completely icy, "I'm sure your girlfriend wouldn't appreciate that." and drop the subject, show him the door immediately.
Let him wonder for a change where you are. Be deliberately vague about your plans and what you are doing/have done. When he asks, tell him "hey, it's really none of your business."
Will he get mad? Maybe, maybe not, but let me tell you if he DOES then he still cares.
Although I still have not, and probably won't, be able to save my marriage, I will tell you one thing that had my STBX doing a complete roundabout, almost. I made up a guy that I was seeing, fictiously, and HE FREAKED. All of a sudden he had time for me and he and the OW were fighting. He is STILL unfortunately involved with the OW, but, he didn't do the fast exit out the door like he had intended either.
Re:Is there a reason? willow78: What is it about these guys, they don't want you until they think they maybe can't have you? When they left did they not think you were going to find someone else. Maybe they were to wrapped up in their own crap they didn't think about it until it was in their face.Or, they just know that you love them so much and want them back that they can have you whenever they want, and you will be there if they aren't happy with what they left you for. I am confused, I want him to see what a fool he is and realize he skrewed up!!
