My ex is suicidal at times so I have to handle him carefully. He goes up and down and I've come to realize that the down times are just that -- times when things are bad for him but he doesn't do anything to change himself or get help. I used to let his depressing e-mails get me down and tug at my heart but I don't let them do that any longer. Reconciliation is not an option as I've moved 1,000 miles away from him and he's part of a family business that will never move. I "love" the guy but I don't much like him anymore. We are different people, but it is still hard to let go. It's easy to fall back into what you've known for so long. Even now when I have a hard time the first person I want to call (and sometimes do) is him. I still miss him.

i know it must be difficult, especially when people tell you its time to move on..we all run at a different pace, and go through things with our own timing, when you are ready, it will come. only you know deep doen inside when that time is.
